Troubleshooting
Why won’t an episode play?
Podling streams audio from the publisher’s server, so check your connection, try another episode, and restart the app. Most issues clear up quickly.
Last updated:
Podling streams every episode directly from the publisher’s own server. That means playback needs an internet connection, and occasionally a problem on the publisher’s side can stop an episode from playing.
Try these steps
- Check your connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try a different network.
- Check the volume. Make sure your phone isn’t muted and that Bluetooth isn’t sending audio to another device.
- Try another episode of the same show, and an episode of a different show. If others play, the problem is likely with that one episode.
- Close and reopen Podling.
- Update Podling to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- Restart your phone.
If only one show or episode won’t play
The publisher’s server may be busy or temporarily down, or the episode may have been removed from the feed. Podling doesn’t host or edit audio, so we can’t fix the file itself. Please try again later.
Still not playing?

- the show and episode name;
- your device and app version;
- what you see, for example an error message or endless loading.
