Troubleshooting

Why can’t I find a podcast in Podling?

Search by the show’s exact name, or paste its RSS feed URL. Podling supports public podcasts; private or subscriber-only feeds may not work.

Last updated:

Podling works with any public podcast. If a show doesn’t appear when you search, there are a few things you can try.

Search tips

  1. Type the show’s exact name, and check the spelling.
  2. Try a shorter search with just the main words of the title.
  3. Try searching for the host’s name or the network that makes the show.

Add a show with its RSS feed

If search still doesn’t find it, you can add the show directly with its RSS feed URL.

  1. Find the show’s RSS feed URL. It’s often listed on the podcast’s website, sometimes labelled “RSS”.
  2. Copy the URL.
  3. In Podling’s search, paste the RSS feed URL.
  4. Open the show and start listening.

Why a show might not be available

  • It isn’t public. Private, members-only or subscriber-only feeds may not work in Podling.
  • The feed has a problem. If the publisher’s feed is down or broken, Podling can’t load it.
  • The publisher has opted out. Creators can choose not to appear in Podling.
