How do I see a translation under each sentence?
With Plus or Pro, tap the translate icon in the transcript to show a machine translation in your native language under every sentence.

A bilingual transcript shows a translation line in your native language under each sentence of the episode. It’s helpful when a sentence is fast, full of slang or simply hard to follow.
Bilingual transcripts are included with Plus and Pro. They aren’t available on the Free plan.
Turn it on or off
- Start playing an episode and open the transcript.
- Tap the translate icon.
- A translation now appears under every sentence. Tap the icon again to hide it.
Translations appear in the native language you chose in Podling.
Good to know
- Translations are produced by machine translation. They’re great for getting the meaning, but may not always capture jokes, idioms or tone.
- Single words and phrases still work as usual: tap a word to see its meaning, pronunciation and the sentence it came from.
A tip for learning
Try listening with translations hidden first. Turn them on only for sentences you can’t follow, then listen to those again without help. Your ears will do more of the work.
